- Who takes payment for the lessons/courses?
- All lesson payments are taken by the tutor or the academy. Macadamians.co.uk provides the tool to tutors and students to facilitate they can be connected, after that the relationship is between the student and the tutor/academy.
- How can I sign up for an account?
- To create your account you can go to the 'Sign up' link at the top menu. Fill in the form with your name, e-mail and password and click on 'Submit' button. Alternatively, you can sign up via your Facebook or Google account.
- How does the 'Sign me in automatically' work?
- When you tick the box 'Sign me in automatically', your browser saves your username and password and every time you access our website page you will be automatically logged in.
- Why am I receiving an 'Account Locked' message?
- If you attempt to access your account and type in an incorrect password 5 times the account will lock for 1 hour. This is for security reasons.
- What happens if I forget my password?
- If you forget your password, please click on the 'Forgot your Password?' link on the login page. The system will ask you to type your email address and the password recovery email will be sent to your email address. The email will contain a link which will redirect you to the Reset Password page, where you can type a new password.

- Yes, you can do that by going to your account, clicking on the Settings page and typing your new e-mail.

- No, the contact information of students accounts is not shown on the website, unless you specify to publish it in your Account Settings.
- How can I find a tutor or academy?
- Macadamians.co.uk includes a powerful search engine to easily find the tutor, academy or the course that meets your needs. Enter the subject of the classes you want and your location and click on the search button, all tutors and academies in your area that match your search criteria will be displayed. You can order the results by relevance, distance, alphabetically or by popularity. Click on each tutor's profile page to get more information and their contact details.
- Is it necessary to sign up to find a tutor or an academy?
- No, it is not necessary to sign up to use the searching engine. You are free to browse through the profiles and contact to the tutors or academies. The Sign up process is only required if you want to bookmark your preferred profiles. You will have the bookmark list available next time you log in Macadamians.co.uk.
- Who are the tutors and academies on your website?
- Tutors and academies in our website come from a wide range of disciplines. There is no minimum requirement to become a registered tutor on our site. As a result, anyone who believes he/she can teach is eligible to register as a tutor on our website. That's why it is important to read through the tutor's profiles and choose the most suitable one.
- Do you CRB (DBS) check tutors?
- No, Macadamians.co.uk does not check tutors certificates and qualifications. You are free to request the tutor to see the CRB certificate and any other declared qualification.
- How can I get in touch with a tutor or academy?
- In a tutor or academy profile you will have free access to their contact details.
- How are rating scores calculated?
- Students can rate tutors and academies using our five-star rating system and they can also include a review. The stars rating is based upon the average rating of all the rates that a profile has received.
